Enjoy a winter traverse of the Chartreuse from Grenoble in the south to Chambéry in the North. A relief full of contrasts with a great diversity of countryside. High plateau surrounded by spectacular limestone cliffs contrast with the gently sloping meadows in the valleys. These contrasts have given rise to many different micro-climates. The Chartreuse a truly unspoiled area waiting to be discovered and a winter traverse using snowshoes gives a very special perspective on this marvelous area.

Sat - Arrival and transfer to Sappey en Chartreuse.
Sun - Sappey en Chartreuse to Sarcenas
Mon - Sarcenas to Col de Porte via Montfromage.
Tue - Col de Porte - St Pierre de Chartreuse via Charmant Som (1 867 m).
Wed - St Pierre de Chartreuse - St Pierre d'Entremont.
Thu - St Pierre d'Entremont - Cirque de la Plagne.
Fri - Cirque de la Plagne - Chambery
Sat - Depart.
