Vanoise Day Treks
2 Centre - Pralognan en Vanoise and Val d'Isere
Explore
the Vanoise National park with this two centre holiday. The Vanoise National
Park's central zone covers and area of 529 km2. The park was established
in 1963. The Vanoise national park borders that of the Gran Paradiso national
park across the border in Italy. The ibex (bouquetin) have successfully
re-established themselves as they are protected within the park.
The Vanoise has high summits, the highest being the Grande Casse at 3,855m. Glaciers cap the summits. The edges of the park are home to some of the most important ski resorts in Europe but this activity has not been allowed to intrude into this space. It retains its wild grandeur.
Each walk will be chosen to allow you to explore this wonderful area. It will give you the opportunity to view the flora and fauna.
