on the edge of the Vanoise National Park and the Italian border.- Largest nature reserve in western Europe home to a growing population of ibex (bouquetin).
- Unspoilt corner of the French Alps.
Bonneval is classed amongst the most beautiful villages in France. It is situated at the end of the Maurienne valley and below the famous Col d'Iseran (2700m) it's narrow streets and roofs covered with stone slabs (lauze). It is surrounded by a cirque of high mountains.
Itinerary
D1 - Arrival and settle into your hotel.
D2 - Lac de la Partie and the refuge de l'Orgere - Vanoise National Park.
D3 - Lac d'Ambin, les lacs Blanc and the le Lac Noir.
D4 - The Thabor mountain range - Col du Cheval Blanc; Col des Batailleres and the Refuge du Mont Thabor.
D5 Cirque des Evettes.
D6 Lac du Pys et Refuge de Carro - night in the Carro Refuge.
D7 - Descent from the Carro Refuge.
D8 - Depart after breakfast.
