Simply Savoie is the trading name of Mark Tennent.

I'm a qualified International Mountain Leader (equivalence "Brevet d'Etat Alpinisme; Accompagnateur en Montagne". I live in the Savoie department of France and speak French.

  • Over 25 years experience in the hills and mountains.
  • He is a member of the French Syndicat National des Accompagnateurs en Montagne
  • He is also a holder of the UK Mountain Training Board's, "Mountaineering Instructors Certificate".
  • Mark ran his own successful guiding business in the Highlands of Scotland, "Glencoe Mountain Sport", only stopping when the outbreak of "Foot & Mouth Disease" brought the business to a standstill in February 2001
  • Experience as a trainer and assessor for UK Mountaineering awards.
  • Glencoe Mountain Rescue - team member for 7 years

Mark also enjoys paragliding, skiing, and mountain biking.

I have worked in Kosovo, Sudan, Kenya and Afghanistan fulfilling roles in security and logistics.
