The Haute Maurienne - Hotel Based Walking Holiday

A 6 day hotel based, mountain walking holiday based in the Haute Maurienne on the edge of the Vanoise National Park and the Italian border. - Largest nature reserve in western Europe home to a growing population of ibex (bouquetin).
- Unspoilt corner of the French Alps.
- Bonneval is classed amongst the most beautiful villages in France. It is situated at the end of the Maurienne valley and below the famous Col d'Iseran (2700m) it's narrow streets and roofs covered with stone slabs (lauze).
Itinerary
D1 - Arrival and settle into your hotel.
D2 - Lac de la Partie and the refuge de l'Orgere - Vanoise National Park.
D3 - Lac d'Ambin, les lacs Blanc and the le Lac Noir.
D4 - The Thabor mountain range - Col du Cheval Blanc; Col des Batailleres and the Refuge du Mont Thabor.
D5 Cirque des Evettes.
D6 Lac du Pys et Refuge de Carro - night in the Carro Refuge.
D7 - Descent from the Carro Refuge.
D8 - Depart after breakfast.

We had a free day on Friday ( you can get your apartment only on Saturday). We found in the internet Mark Tennent from Simply Savoie,
and he took us for snow shoeing walk. Everything was perfect, he met us on time, gave us the equipment, and took us to very beautiful place,' with fantastic views over the mountains.
